Nick’s run to raise awareness
The support and information my wife has received from the Miscarriage Association has helped her through and I wanted to show my appreciation.
My wife and I have experienced 4 consecutive miscarriages since we started trying for a family. I’ve watched her struggle with the grief and loneliness that many women feel when experiencing pregnancy loss.
The support and information my wife has received from the Miscarriage Association has helped her through and I wanted to show my appreciation for not only the help they have provided her, but also to raise awareness of miscarriage as it is very often not discussed.
My wife is a keen runner whereas I prefer to spend my time at the local pub, however I decided to participate in my first ever run – the Vitality Westminster Mile. I managed to run the entire mile in under 9 minutes and thanks to all our family and friends who have supported me in raising over £1,000 for the Miscarriage Association. I hope this can contribute towards continuing their work with providing support, along with the training provided to health care professionals, and caring for couples who have suffered a miscarriage.
