Westminster debate on Covid 19 and pregnancy loss – can you encourage your MP to take part?
3rd November 2020
This Thursday 5 November, from 1.30 to 3 p.m., MPs will gather in person and online to debate the impact of Covid 19 on people affected by pregnancy or baby loss.
The debate will highlight evidence gathered from the Miscarriage Association and other charities by the All Party Parliamentary Group on Baby Loss, and what you told us during Baby Loss Awareness Week – that Covid restrictions have had a huge negative impact on the support and care available to those who go through pregnancy and baby loss, or are pregnant again following a loss.
The debate is more important than ever now that we face increased infection rates and further lockdown restrictions, which will impact once again on access to NHS pregnancy and maternity services, inclusion of partners, and management options. It’s a real opportunity to push strongly for what so many women and their partners need at these crucial times, so the more MPs who take part, the stronger our voices.
Please follow this link to ask your MP to apply to speak in the #BLAW2020Debate – and thank you.
