Babyloss Awareness Week
9th October 2017
Today marks the start of Babyloss Awareness Week, a special annual event to remember the brief lives of babies lost during pregnancy, during or shortly after birth, or in infancy.
Over the next seven days, we and our supporters will be working alongside representatives from 40 pregnancy and baby loss charities and groups across the UK to raise awareness of the impact of pregnancy and baby loss.
Together we’ll be calling for improved bereavement care for those who lose a baby, and we’ll be remembering all those tiny lives that were lost before they had barely begun.
During the week, women and men affected by pregnancy and baby loss, across the UK and around the world, will be wearing pin badges, displaying ‘Twibbons’, attending events and raising awareness, culminating in the international Wave of Light on the evening of 15 October.
There will be government events in England, Scotland and Wales, including a backbench debate on babyloss at Westminster on 10 October.
You’ll find more information about this week’s events and how you can get involved here.
