New book published to support those who experience baby loss

27th March 2019

Coping with Pregnancy Loss, by Petra Boynton, is a new self-help book for those experiencing any kind of baby loss.

The book provides practical advice and self-care strategies to help individuals, partners and healthcare professionals.

Petra worked closely with the Miscarriage Association in 2014 to run a public awareness campaign to identify the needs of partners affected by miscarriage. The research for the project was carried out by Dr Petra at University College London, and funded by a Beacon Bursary. You can find out more about it here.

Our National Director, Ruth, said: “Petra Boynton’s book is a very welcome addition to the existing literature on pregnancy loss.

“It provides a helpful and thoughtful overview of the factual, practical and emotional issues that feature time after time on our helpline and forums – and some that rarely get mentioned at all.  It is understanding and inclusive, beautifully illustrated and designed, clear and accessible.  It’s a book that will bring comfort and understanding to many.”

We’re also pleased to share that the book’s publisher, Routledge, is kindly offering supporters of The Miscarriage Association a 20% discount and free shipping on all titles, when you purchase directly from them.

When you buy the book through Routledge using the discount code, our charity will also receive a donation from the proceeds. You can find out more here.
