Virtual Hugs: a new resource

26th May 2020

Today the Miscarriage Association is launching a new resource to help people reach out to support someone they know who’s been affected by miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or molar pregnancy.

We’ve created a series of warm and thoughtful ‘Virtual Hugs‘, which can be downloaded and sent to someone in a message on a phone. At a time when we can’t rush over and give someone a proper hug when they need it most, we all know how much a simple act of kindness can mean.

We hope these Virtual Hugs help make it a little easier to offer some comfort, and for people experiencing pregnancy loss during one of the toughest times, to feel less alone and that their loss matters.

Find out more on our Virtual Hugs page and follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. We’d really like to hear what you think about our new initiative, so do feel free to contact us at comms@miscarriageassociation.org.uk.

Virtual Hugs is the most warm, comforting idea for anyone in such a difficult time. Knowing someone is thinking about you and there for you is a massive help. Sending a virtual hug could mean the absolute world to someone.
