Karen leapt from a plane to raise funds for the M.A
Karen took part in a tandem skydive organised by our charity partners Skyline to raise funds for the Miscarriage Association in May 2021, and it was an experience she'll never forget!
It was absolutely amazing and such a privilege to be able to do it for such an amazing charity.
Karen experienced a miscarriage in September last year, and months later, was still struggling to come to terms with it. So she decided to take on a huge personal challenge in memory of her baby and to raise funds for the Miscarriage Association.
Karen said on her fundraising page: “After a miscarriage, the hospital sends you home and that’s that. You are left to deal with it yourself. The support from my family has been amazing but it’s not enough. People need proper professional support and the Miscarriage Association do everything they can to help people in these situations. They are a very small organisation who need all the help they can get to carry on their amazing work. I will be grateful for any amount of money that’s raised, but more importantly I hope if nothing else this raises awareness and maybe even helps some people to find the support they need”.
Karen raised an amazing £600 during her challenge, and had a brilliant experience. “It was absolutely amazing and such a privilege to be able to do it for such an amazing charity. It’s an experience I’ll never forget”
