Laura Steps Up for the M.A.
Taking part in the challenge was amazing for me. It got me out of the house when I’d not wanted to leave it and gave me something to focus on.
I decided to take up the Step Up for the M.A. challenge after we lost our baby in July 2020.
Obviously you hear about people losing babies all the time, but it’s a whole different ball game when it happens to you.
Leaving the hospital with a number of leaflets etc. I came across the Miscarriage Association website. I found it’s a really great website where you can get lots of information as well as reading other people’s stories which bring lots of comfort at times.

I actually completed the month-long challenge in just 18 days! And raised just under £500. I feel so proud as I’ve never really done anything like this before.
I enjoyed lots of solo walks, and many with my family which was great.
I can’t wait to complete the challenge again next year!
